The Highlights of My 2018

Now that 2018 is done, there are some things I’d like to highlight.

Entertainment

Black Veil Brides/ Andy Black

This band is hands down the most surprising thing that I ended up liking this year. Who would have thought that I would end up liking a rock band? Definitely not me.

Concerts

I know this one seems so general but 2018 was the first year I ever went to a concert and I loved it. I got to see Hyorin and Dua Lipa. I always had negative feelings towards concerts ’cause I don’t like being around so much people but my opinion has changed. Well not completely. I still don’t like being around so much people but I can handle it when seeing my fave artists perform live on stage. It’s was so much fun.

Friends (TV Series)

I’m just adding this here because in 2018 alone I managed to watch the whole Friends series three times. THREE TIMES! I am obsessed. I can’t stop watching it. My whole life is just me referencing Friends.

I should really start finishing the other shows that I started watching but never finished.

Self-Care

Blonde

I know I’m not fully blonde anymore but being blonde is something that I have always wanted to do ever since I was grade school and I finally got to do it during 2018.

Early 2018, I chopped my hair super short (also the first time I wanted to cut my hair short since I don’t even know when) and I bleached my hair super blonde. I loved it so much. I can’t wait until I can bleach it again. Fingers crossed, this March I can do it again.

Nails

I was never a fix-your-nails kind of girl. I kind of just let it grow then cut it when needed. In 2018, I got really into it. I know it’s part of my job to get my nails done but still. I love thinking of new designs to do and after seeing it when it’s done, I always fall in love with them.

But I really don’t like getting them removed. I hate the process. It takes forever. Especially when I get acrylics.

Earrings

I always had earring on as a kid. My mom got my ears pierced when I was still a baby and I only wore those earrings… until I lost them. After that I never wore earrings again because my ears are so sensitive and sometimes they bleed if I don’t wear real ones.

In 2018, I decided that I missed wearing earrings and I didn’t care wether or not my ears liked them or not. I started buying the sets from H&M and I have been wearing earrings more often now. I still don’t wear them everyday ’cause I don’t want to hurt my ears or something.

Skin Care

I know I have posted some skin care posts before but in all honestly, I got really sucked into skin care deep in 2018. I started building my routine and I tried learning the different factors that can affect the skin.

I don’t really know what to say about this one… Wash your face day and night. Remove your make-up. Don’t forget to put SPF before going out.

Food

Calbee Honey Butter

I am obsessed with this kind of chips. Well obsessed is too much but I really do enjoy it. I can finish bags of it in one sitting which is very bad. I know not everyone likes this flavour though. Jeff hates it. It is an acquired taste, I think. It’s sort of sweet but also salty at the same time. I can’t even explain it.

Just try it. Go to your local food store or Korean grocery store ( I don’t know if this is Filipino or Korean. I’ve seen it in Korean and not Korean versions and they taste the same) and buy one when you see it. Let me know what are your thoughts.

BBQ Pizza

This one is really dedicated to Pizza Hut’s Texan BBQ pizza. I can’t find it in their website so I don’t 100% know what it is called but it is great. I love it.

I can finish one whole serving of that if I had to. OMG and upgrade it to cheese stuffed crust and boom! Best combo ever! Now I kinda want it.

Random Stuff

Coco & Jeff

Of course, I have to mention the blog itself. I have always wanted a blog in forever and in 2018, Jeff and I finally did it. We still have so much to work on and we are trying to make this space even better.

Surfing

This one is kind of different. If you can remember early 2018, Jeff and I went to Baler. (It was our very first blog post) It was my first time surfing but not like the other firsts I mentioned, I was not a big fan of it. I didn’t like the salty water slapping my face. It didn’t help that I am really scared of the water and I can’t swim.

Honestly, I don’t want to try it again. I would much rather be chill in the water where I don’t feel like I’m gonna die.

What are some of your firsts in 2018? Let me know all about it in the comments.
