30 SONG CHALLENGE (PART 2) // Paper & Pixels

This is part two of my 30 song challenge! If you haven’t read part one, head on over to this post first! Part One

#16 A song that’s a classic favourite

Reflection by Lea Salonga \\ (Listen)

It’s no secret that I LOVE Mulan so it’s no surprise that one of my favourite Disney songs is Reflection.

#17 A song you’d sing a duet with someone on karaoke

Take A Bow by Rihanna || (Listen)

Doesn’t this song just make you feel like someone cheated on you but in reality, you’ve never actually experienced it?

#18 A song from the year you were born

Breakfast at Tiffany’s by Deep Blue Something \\ (Listen)

I’m pretty sure this was released in 1995 and not 1996 but according to Wikipedia it became a hit in ’96 so I’m gonna say this counts.

#19 A song that makes you think about life

We are Broken by Paramore || (Listen)

Kind of self-explanatory. 🙂

#20 A song that has many meanings to you

Northern Downpour by Panic! At The Disco || (Listen)

I don’t even know what this song means to me anymore, I just know it makes me feel a whirlwind of emotions that I’d rather keep tucked away somewhere.

#21 A song you like with a person’s name in the title

Mandy by Westlife || (Listen)

Perfect road trip sing-a-long sonnggg!

#22 A song that moves you forward

One Day by Matisyahu || (Listen)

I first heard this song during Hyolyn’s concert and my goodness it gave me so much hope.

#23 A song you think everybody should listen to

Hello Cold World by Paramore || (Listen)

Can I just say how underrated this song is? Paramore has this special talent of being able to package really sad songs into very upbeat and happy music and I love it! This song might as well be my 21-year-old selfs national anthem. The lyrics basically got everything I was going through at the time and condensed it into this beautiful song.

#24 A song by a band you wish were still together

To Love and Back by This Century || (Listen)

When I heard that This Century was going to call it quits it truly broke my heart. This band was such an important part of my high school and early college days. They brought me good memories and even greater friends. I’ll always love their music.

#25 A song you like by an artist no longer living

Rehab by Amy Winehouse || (Listen)

I have a special place in my heart for all things Amy Winehouse.

#26 A song that makes you want to fall in love

Say You Won’t Let Go by James Arthur || (Listen)

If this song doesn’t make you want to fall in love I don’t know what will. This song is making it straight to my wedding playlist.

#27 A song that breaks your heart

Stand By Me by Shinee \\ (Listen)

This song is actually bittersweet. It reminds me of sweet baby Shinee and early Korean dramas like Boys Over Flowers but at the same time, it also reminds me of how sad Jonghyun’s death was.

#28 a song by an artist whose voice you love

You Ain’t Woman Enough by Paramore (Cover) || (Watch/Listen)

I think this is like the 5th Paramore song I’ve placed on this list. Can you tell that I love them with all my heart? This is a cover is so pure and raw, I just had to put it on this list.

#29 A song you remember from your childhood

One In A Million by Hannah Montana || (Listen)

Hannah Montana was my jaaaammmmm and she still is.

#30 A song that reminds you of yourself

Carpe Diem by You Me At Six \\ (Listen)

I’m not actually sure if this song reminds me of myself, I’ve never actually thought about it until now. But this is definitely a song that inspires me to have the life I want. No regrets, just live.

AND THAT’S 30! I hope you guys found some good songs from this list to add to your playlists too and that you’ve learned a thing or two about my music tastes. A little punk-rock, a little k-pop, and a whole lot of Paramore.

x, J
