Gardening: An Attempt

I want to start this blog post by saying I currently own 0 plants. This whole post is actually about me wanting to take care of plants. I have tried in the past but they weren’t very successful. Let me walk you through my attempts and how I feel about plants now.

Where I live, we have a huge lawn and back then my parents spent the whole weekend tending to it and making sure all the plants are happy and healthy. I’ve always wanted to help and one time they did let me. I thought it was fun. Every now and then, my mom would have these garden makeovers and she will re-do our whole lawn. When I get bored around the house I would usually ask them if I can help because they usually let my brother help. All of a sudden, I wasn’t even allowed to go outside when they are gardening. I found it rude. It came to my attention that the plants I planted before died. All of them. From then on I wasn’t allowed to help with the garden. I eventually lost hope for it.

Fast-forward to today and I am itching to have my own little indoor garden. I wanna have so many plants and I have been researching on how to take care of them. I am determined to have my little garden. Of course, I have thought of fake plants for the reason of me never having been successfully growing a plant. EVER.  but I honestly don’t like the fact that they get all dusty. I WANT THE REAL THING!

Anyway, if you have any tips or recommendations for low-maintenance houseplants, please do let me know. Maybe in a few months, I can update you guys whether or not I have started my mini indoor garden.

  1. I just discovered your blog and it’s simply stunning! I’m also trying to incorporate more plants into my interiors and loving picking up new ones – it’s like buying pets! (Is that weird? Yeah, I agree). Beautiful photos and a lovely post!

    Sending you good vibes!
