Let me start this off by saying that this blog post has been looooong overdue and I am so happy I finally had time to layout and write this. I went to Singapore last November 2017 with my family and can I just say it was a-m-a-z-i-n-g. The last time I had the chance to visit this country was around 2014 and to be honest, I think we spent more time shopping than actually sightseeing (well to be fair we were only there for 3 days). So, I’m glad that for this trip we had the luxury of time to really enjoy all the sceneries.
So let’s begin! Here is a couple of IG-worthy spots you should probably see in Singapore!
Gardens by the Bay // The Flower Dome
Location: 18 Marina Gardens Dr, Singapore 018953
This is by far one of the best places to go to in Singapore. The country takes great pride in their ability to preserve nature and you can definitely see that proven in this dome. It is greenery HEAVEN. Not only do you get to take such lovely photos but you also get to see so. many. different. plants. that you probably won’t ever see in your home country because of the environment & different climate. I don’t know how they managed to make all of those plants live but damn they did a great job.
Though being in this place kind of made me really ashamed of my failed attempt to raise a succulent. But we can talk about that in a different post.
Warning: This place is HUGE. Prepare to take more than half the day if you really want to get to see everything.
Chinese Garden Singapore
Location: 1 Chinese Garden Road, Singapore 619795
The Chinese Garden is such an underrated tourist spot. This place is absolutely beautiful! It is filled with different types of ancient Chinese-esque structures and gardens. Being Chinese myself, the place left me at awe. It’s like I was transported into a Chinese/Korean historical drama! (ps. I sadly did not find myself a prince with 6 brothers fighting over my heart and the throne. Bonus points if you know what that drama is!)
The place is nearly impossible to completely circle in just one afternoon. Especially with the Singapore heat. So if you have a limited time, these were my favourite spots:
- 7 Storey Pagoda – Best place to take photos!
- Bonsai Garden – Find your Prince here.
- Fishes’ Paradise – Have that k-drama-stare-into-space-thinking-about-forbidden-love-with-oppa moment.
- 8 Heroes – You get to see a statue of M U L A N. The best Disney Princess ever. If you disagree, let’s go fight me.
ArtScience Museum
Location: 6 Bayfront Ave, Singapore 018974
I often get asked if the ArtScience Museum is worth spending on and my answer is always, YES. Almost every corner was picture ready and most of the installations and exhibits were interactive so it’s a great place to take your family and kids. Other than it obviously being beautiful, it’s also a good place to relax and chill out. For example, in the Black Waves installation, you can literally grab a pillow, lay down, and just enjoy the virtual waves.
(PLUS it’s all airconditioned and you get to hide from the heat outside)
Fountain of Wealth
Location: Inside Suntec City Mall, 3 Temasek Blvd, Singapore 038983
Sometimes the best places are just right under our noses. In this case, it’s under a mall. The Fountain of Wealth is located under one of Singapore’s largest malls and it’s definitely a sight to see. Not only is the fountain already magnificent itself but it’s also surrounded by so much ~aesthetic~ buildings.
My only regret is not seeing the fountain light up at night.
DuckTour
Location: 3 Temasek Boulevard, #01-330 Suntec Shopping Mall, Singapore 038983
Another way to get really great photos and learn about Singapore’s history is by taking the DuckTour! YOU GET TO RIDE A DUCK! Just kidding, you get to ride a boat that can go on water and land. The tour covers Singapore’s most historic landmarks. Taking this tour really made me appreciate all the different structures around the city!
Hey, it can’t hurt to learn a thing or two when travelling right?
Just the streets.
This country is all aesthetic in its own way. Take the time to walk around the streets and really enjoy the place and you’ll find yourself little photo-ready gems everywhere.

I haven’t been to Asia yet, but Singapore looks like such a beautiful place. Thank you for sharing.
